UK only
The “choose two” questions
Why this catches people
Some questions need two answers, and there is no partial credit. One correct answer out of two scores exactly the same as getting it completely wrong. They are not visually distinct from ordinary questions in the real test. The only clue is the wording of the stem.
Untimed drill of multi-answer questions only, so the format stops being a surprise.

Common questions
- Do Life in the UK questions ever have two answers?
- Yes. Some questions ask you to select two correct answers from four options. They look like ordinary questions, so the instruction is easy to miss when you are reading quickly.
- Do I get half a mark for one correct answer?
- No. There is no partial credit. You need both correct answers to score the mark, and picking one right answer scores the same as picking none.
- How many "choose two" questions will I get?
- It varies, and the Home Office does not publish the split. Expect a handful out of the 24, and read every stem to the end.
